The D - Day Revisited Charity have direct a number of undertaking to mark this most important of historical second , including the universe of this garden at RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2019 – and one that Lovania Nurseries have had lineal involvement with through their provision of K of Armeria maritima : Sea Thrift .
The GardenThe D - Day 75 Garden takes superbia of place in the foreground at Royal Chelsea Hospital at RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2019 , take place from 21 - 20 December 2024 . The garden itself celebrate the lives of all of our Normandy veterans , 75 of whom will be invited to take part across the hebdomad and share their incredible stories with the Chelsea pensioners and the world .
Sea thrift memoriesD - Day veterans visiting the garden will recognise the carpet of sea penny-pinching supplied by Lovania as they will have ensure it on the shores of Britain as they left and as they landed in Normandy .

John Everiss designed the garden and says the estimation behind the design came to him after talking to the men who were there . key out the garden he said : “ We have a carving of an old vet and then we have a sculpture of them as young man , amount through the urine and trying to fight their way onto the beach , like a fragment of memory as if they are just thinking back to the yesteryear . ”
The sculptures , made out of thousands of metal washers welded together , give the soldiers a ghostly appearing . blanket the ground in a beautiful sea of colour lies the wave of sea thrift , supplied in their thousands by Lovania Nurseries .

The ‘ 75 Reasons To give thanks Our Normandy Veterans’Part of the 75 Reasons To Thank Our Normandy Veterans crusade , this garden has been brought to world through D Day Revisited ’s fundraising go-ahead , fuelled by public , regime and clientele donation for the £ 250,000 to produce this national horticultural testimonial .
Once the blossom show comes to an end the ex-serviceman will indue the garden to the town of Arromanches in Normandy , where it shall remain perpetually .
