A Royal Horticultural Society ( RHS ) team from RHS Garden Wisley has this month ( May 2021 ) picked up a novel collection of Mangave succulent from Wyevale Nurseries in Herefordshire donate in partnership with Plantipp B.V.
Wyevale Nurseries ’ Production Manager Kyle Ross late receive Mark Tuson and Toni Brown from RHS Garden Wisley to the company ’s Container Division to compile more of the massive Mangaves .
Kyle explain : “ After a brief , Covid - secure , socially - distanced , tour of duty of our extension and glasshouses , these telling , monstrous Mangaves in 10 cubic decimetre pots were lade into the Wisley caravan and on their agency down to Woking , where they will be pot up , imbed and assessed . ” The objective of the contribution is to help cover flora research .
Wyevale Nurseries has already been judge the ‘ Mad About Mangave ’ ingathering , managed by Plantipp B.V , for the retiring four years . “ In cooperation with Plantipp , we concord to donate a selection of these new succulents to RHS Garden Wisley at the conclusion of last class and it ’s fantastic to now see them off to their Modern home . The plants will be displayed for the public to see and will undergo further hardiness evaluation .

Mark Tuson , Team Leader Welcome & Riverside at RHS Garden Wisley , is thrilled with the Mangaves he collected . “ We ’ll be checking on their hardihood , using wintertime protection , in the sandlike , free - draining grunge around the Sunday cakehole of the Stone Pine Café at RHS Garden Wisley . We ’d like lots of mass to come along and see these wonderful Mangave in person this and next year ! ”
Peter van Rijssen from Plantipp B.V. hopes that by having the succulent on show in the garden the chaffer world-wide public will also have a opportunity to learn about them and the trial .
