Lilies and other blooms of high summer

Today we ’re off to the Mohawk Valley in central New York State to claver Lee ’s beautiful garden .

It ’s midsummer , and I do believe we have a “ bloomfest ” ! At clock time I ’ve seen easily over 300 bloom at once . We ’re head toward thepeak , with many buds remain and thephloxand Maximilian sunflowers yet to start their show . Lots of color , vainglorious mitt - size bloom , and lilies towering over 7 pes tall ! In a previous post(Lee ’s Garden Through the oculus of an Ant)I showed all of the plants get going their push , and now those little lilies that looked like mini - palm trees are 6 - footers of a light pinko .

I ’ve gone through 75 bamboo stick ( which are virtually invisible ) and a telephone number of “ lumber sticks ” ( which are n’t unseeable ) ; the lily taller than 4 feet love to be supported due to the weight of the blooms . I even used two expansible tarp pole to cosmic string - support the 7 - invertebrate foot red lilies along the rear of thevegetable garden . A storm add up through and that was n’t enough . I almost lose a few to breakage down the stem , but I cursorily got some paint peg and channel tape and made splint . scram ta do what ya got ta do !

This flick prove the first and probably only painting I have ever set about . I paint the integral fascia display panel on the back of the service department with every imaginary efflorescence that I could imagine of . I paint “ panels ” from 1 to 2 feet in length and foretell that a session . I ’d come off the ladder and take a break . I ’m surprised that I did n’t run out of ideas for blossom .
