You can propagate rosemary from cuttings very easily. Keep for yourself or create lovely topiaries to give as gifts!
For many people , Rosemary is a tender perennial and must be taken in spite of appearance during the cold winter month . you could winter it in a nursery or a very sunny window of your home .
Propagate Rosemary from cuttings.
This okay rosemary plant has been pruned into the configuration of a topiary . The video recording at the terminal of this post shows how I do that .
Today we will cut it more to refresh its form , and then we will settle the trimmings .

Soil Mix for Rosemary cuttings
Mix up some compost , Elmer Leopold Rice Cordell Hull ( you’re able to also use perlite ) and horticultural guts to make a well draining potting admixture . Want to just buy some in a travelling bag ? Buycactus potting mix .

Take cuttings from Rosemary
You will remark this is a different Rosemary than above and it is a dissimilar form . The method acting is the same .
Withsnippersor sharpprunerstake fresh green cuttings about 3 or 4 inches long .

UPDATE : I find the soil blocker more fuss than it is deserving so I will stick with mickle and trays .

If you take cuttings in Spring ( strong conditions ) you wo n’t require to use heat mats or light for the cuttings to root . I am doing this in December , and it is too cold even in my nursery for the cutting to take .
