As we are go out this homestead before long , I thought to myself , “ Man … how many gardens have I ramp up and then abandon recently ? ”
The answer … is five !
In 2016 , we sell our theater in North Florida and left behind our yearly gardens and food timberland :
That was a slap-up system . I had cultivate on it for six years and omit it . But I wanted to move overseas and we could n’t make the move and keep the home , so we sold out and move to the Caribbean .
There , we were able to charter a homestead for a sentence , and construct new garden , plus work the ones that were already there :
After that homestead , we had to rive an flat for a while . It had a great panorama and was right near the beach .
But there was no place in the K to garden . Fortunately , we were able to borrow a little destiny in the neighbourhood . Painfully , we cut down the brush and bristly trees there and dug the unvoiced clay . These beds take more oeuvre than you would think !
Then we finally were able-bodied to grease one’s palms some land of our own at the very closing of 2018 .
There we built a couple of footling cabins and plant a food for thought forest , as well as put in a caboodle of expectant garden beds .
This is where I first started planting my “ Grocery Row ” gardens , as seen above .
And then we were forcibly ejected from that homestead by the pandemic and all the craziness around it , include issues with our visa and local unrest .
So we terminate up in Alabama , let a house where we were told we could ride out and plant and grow in a spacious backyard . We have been here since the end of 2020 , and have done some very interesting workplace , include clear a cluster of run bed for various nutrients :

The first sentence , when I left Florida to go overseas , just lead to a string of moves that have ultimately been very hard . Mea culpa .
