Today ’s photograph are from Joe out in Newcastle , Washington ( Zone 8b ) . He says,“I am a King County Master Gardener ( 6 years ) and gardening is my rocking horse . It helps to take my mind by from continuing hurting that I am dealing with from Sjogren ’s Syndrome and fibromyalgia . It chip in me peace while I garden mind to my 80 ’s music on my mp3 player . The Cornus kousa ' Satomi ' is my preferred tree in the front G . It bloom start in other June and keeps going for a month . Flowers bulge off a dark pink and disappearance to livid , followed by red berry yield and the beautiful fall color . In the backyard , the Hamamelis mollis is my favorite . I have grow it on an espalier as I do not have a mass of elbow room . I love the fragrance in the late wintertime . It blooms for almost a month . My favorite flowers are peony and hydrangea . I just constitute a few more paeony . They take for a while to establish but once they are happy , I try not to disturb them as peony do not care to be disturb .
