" Hello ! Last April you featured my garden in easterly WA . Today I am apportion pics of my east fretwork garden in the Yakima Valley . I hired a carpenter to make lattice piece of work under my deck . This latticework was to be the back - cliff for a novel succulent greenish garden . Like other GPOD member , I " cramscape " so I do n’t have to weed ! "

After losing many beautiful Japanese maple trees , I obtain an strange modest tree , ' Snakethorn ' Contorted Hawthorn to institute in my east lattice garden . It tolerates my dry cold flatus ! After 11 years , the tree remain very narrow and only 12 fundament tall . It is sustainment free with beautiful Battle of Magenta spring salad days . Other plant material in photo : Vine Maple , Lady Fern , ' Elegans ' Hosta , ' Earth Angel ' Hosta , ' Aurea ' Barberry , ' David ' Phlox , ' Lacrosse ' Shasta Daisy , ' Ski Chalet ' Daylily . Yes , I DO cramscape ! ! !
