DIY Potting Bench Refresh for Summer

Plaid Crafts sent me a loge of calcareous finish pigment by Waverly in some summery colors .   As soon as I opened that loge I knew what I wanted to do .   My DIYpotting benchrefresh for summertime was just the ticket . It was looking a bit tired and it was metre for some TLC .   Is n’t it a scrap sorry looking ?   Nothing a smear of paint ca n’t determine !

I had quite a few option of color in the box of paint Plaid Crafts sent but the Pool Blue caught my eye mighty off .   It just screamed Summer and I love Summer !   Plaid , gratefully , sent along some bang-up brush too.(some links in this post go to my affiliate shops , ( like Amazon ) , please seeDisclosure pagefor more information )

I sandpaper down the pot bench with myorbital sanderand started with the Pool blue .   I paint two coating to give it practiced coverage . The improvement was immediate and the paint was so well-to-do to habituate .   It went on smooth and tight .

Refurbishing my potting bench with Waverly Chalk Paint.

I painted the shelf , counter top and bottom ledge in White for a promising contrast .

I forgot to photo it before bringing back all my garden paraphanalia but the white really does make the Pool Blue pa and to clean it up so much .   On the horizontal surface I varnish with the exterior mat varnish by Waverly and that should help keep up where water shall pose when it rain .   The part painted with Pool blue I just left uncertain .

Its funny how I did not even remark I missed the side part until I took these photos .   I have already gear up that .   gratefully there was pile of paint .

DIY Potting Bench refresh for Summer,

We can see this pot bench from our living room / dining elbow room so having it freshen up has added to our delectation of the horizon .   I am thinking I will paint   one of the redness on my faded look tool box seat with the fresh from the garden daisy in it .   That should make it really down . I think I am leaning towards the Rhubarb ,   one-half because I care the name but then the Crimson looks lovely too . For more of what is bloom in my garden just come out on over to myJuly Garden spell .

I love the terracotta pots next to the blueish .   My pathetic small pinkish genus Pelargonium ( zonal geranium ) has been neglected but in the last week it has really perked up .   Putting it here where I can see it helps me to give it the excess care it needs to get back to its full blooming gloriole .

Here it all is in the early dawn light , the color are a piece more concentrated .. I am late in getting my galvanized tubs planted up but presently they will fulfill in and be this gorgeous .. this is from a retiring Post calledOld Buckets in a Wine Barrel
