April is here . Where have I been ? I had 2 rotator cuff tendons and bicep tendon surgery on Dec 12 with the thought I will be garden by June ( and fly-fish too ) . The bicep tendon is attached to a bolt that was screwed into my humerus bone . It ’s been a long voiceless retrieval - I am in strong-arm therapy since then but progress is ho-hum , slow , deadening . For for a while it mat up non - existent , but I have turned a corner and am slow amaze better . For 2 month , I was in a slingshot but now have 2 hands to act with but still not allowed to raise my arm up over my head yet .

Progress .

And now gardening time of year is upon us . But I have been able to do a few thing regarding gardening !

greens in late January

To catch up - I started in March , nerveless season crops indoors under grow lights ( with no oestrus ) like lettuces , spinach , cauliflower , bok choi , cabbage , Chinese broccoli , herbs and beets . Many have already been transplant to 2 1/4″ stack where they will get bigger until I transpose them out of doors .

The wampum and spinach are already transplanted into my greenhouse . I open up up the nursery ( as I had button it down in winter ) but now on some days , it can get pretty warm within so i take off the panels to let more air through the screened windows . I have 2 fans in there ( on timers that turn on / off automatically ) to drift the red-hot aura out and plough off in the eve . Plus I put words cover on at nite over the boodle / spinach plant to keep them from freeze . I pull it back in the day unless it is freeze inside ( seldom ) . My cold frame got messed up in the wind so I probably wo n’t use it this yea or until I can fix it .

Tomato / peppers were also begin at bottom as well in March , in germination trayson heat matsinside , under lights . I transplanted the tomato plants to 2 1/4″ inch pots where they will stay till I establish them alfresco sometime in May . I decided not to grow out tomato plant industrial plant for other people this year .

cauliflower:beets

It ’s good to have 2 hands / arms usable now ( limited ) but should be good by June .
